Detailed planed of Washington D.C. from Tanner's Universal Atlas' published in 1846, with an inset 'Plan of the Principal Floor of the Capital'. An extensive key lists the public buildings.
Henry Schenk Tanner was one of America's most important engravers and influtential map makers of the 19th Century.
