|Pieter van den Keere.|
Engraving 85 x 120mm.
A miniature map of Suffolk engraved in the 1590s by van den Keere for a Dutch edition of 'Camden's Britannia'. In the 1620s the copper printing plates were bought by Speed's publishers, who reissued them in an atlas 'Speed's Maps Epitomis'd'. This gave these maps the nickname 'Miniature Speeds', despite pre-dating Speed's Theatre.
