From 'Picturesque Scenery of Great Britain'. A series of six aquatints of coastal towns in the south of England. Loutherbourg was born in Germany and moved to England in 1771. He became known as a scenery designer at London's Drury Lane Theatre as well an accomplished landscape painter.
